Fresh Picked---survey says....

I am always grateful in getting discounts on things I love to buy for myself as well as gifts and the Bath and Body Works survey is one of those discounts I couldn't enjoy BBW without. And because I am lucky enough to shop there often, I do seem to accrue a bunch of surveys.  As soon as some leave...a bunch more show up on my receipts.  Sneaky how that happens, huh?   I try to do them as soon as I can to give an honest assessment of the visit and then I cut them off of the bottom of the sales slip, file the slip in my Paris shoebox, and staple them together in groups of ten for my purse.  Lately I am doing them online where I can type out my thoughts rather than speaking to an automated message system.  And tonight while doing todays test store purchases that arrived I saw this little peep into the Fresh Picked display soon to come to stores.  I CAN'T WAIT.  Currently, the few products my stores have are on a table....These displays are adorable!

Test Scents - Lakeside notes 2013

Below are the notes read to me from a fantastic Sales Associate in the store  (Ms. Molly) and her {impressions}  which I shared in the thoughts it may help you decide which are close to things you like.

When mine arrive I will post the photos as well as my thoughts.
These are coming to me in the 4oz size and I will say this....I did get the Italian line in both sizes and while they are all the same wax of course, my original thoughts on Tuscan Herb cold smelling have changed as I do definitely smell the basil in the larger jar.  At first sniff, It smelled more citrus to me...

Boathouse Row- the fragrance of a deep blue water surrounded by notes of moss, sage bay leaf captures the essence of a lakeside adventure.  {cologne-esque feel}

Lakeside-  jump into an invigorating blend of fresh water, sheer musk and a perfect pop of citrus  {light, fresh, kinda like Oceanside but a hint of citrus. clean like beach cabana}

Dockside- an airy crisp blend of fresh water, citrus zest, aqua flowers captures the fragrance of being dockside at a summer lake.  {cologne-esque- reminder of paris daydream or sparkling icicles--fresh, clean,  feel heavier in citrus,}

Strawberry Picnic- a blend of red, ripe strawberries, wild raspberries, and sweet butter cream frosting celebrates the best part of a picnic by the lake.  {strawberry and cream feel, fresh strawberries and not overly sweet}

Mahogany Teakwood- luxurious scent of fine wood, mahogany, cedarwood and oak are enlightened by a delicate lavender and geranium note.  {tan color, repackaged}

Campfire Cookout- gather around the smokey scent of mesquite, woodchips, clove and crackling fire.  {very smokey, a lot like fireside, but void of sandalwood can smell the clove}

Watermelon Lemonade- quench your thirst for long summer days with this refreshing mixture of watermelon ice, sparking water and freshly squeezed meyer lemons.  {awesome,  cool, melony, and tart. pink color}

Forest Trail- explore the lakeside woods with an aromatic blend of redwood trees, cedar leaves and a hint of eucalyptus and a hint of wild berry  { pine like feel, woodsy and evergreen}

Summertime Smores- all the sweetness of summers best treat is captured in the blend of roasted marshmallow, crackling campfire and rich creamy vanilla.  {smells a lot like marshmallow fireside a bit more smokey a bit more chocolatey}

Wildflower Valley- a fragrant bouquet of poppies, meadow grass and a fresh air reminiscent of a field of wildflowers by the lake.   {kind of floral like southern magnolia, light floral, clean}

The White Barn store in Ohio Now has the LAKESIDE test candle scent line in and ready for shipment.

There are available in both the 4oz size as well as the 3 wick size but sadly neither are on sale currently.  But you can use your surveys!

I did order the 4oz of each to give them a try and will post them and the scent notes as soon as they arrive.

tonight and much to my surprise I found out that there was a new Test scent that went unnoticed by me for the 2013 Spring line called:

Southern Magnolia-  be transported to the South with the beautiful fragrance of magnolias, honeysuckle and a hint of Georgia Peach.

I was so glad that Littleballadeer mentioned that Touch the Fire Twice got it and reviewed it for us, so check out his review of it.... 
I love Magnolias and definitely need to see how BBW interpreted that scent this time around.   Both of these video bloggers do an awesome job of presenting us with a visual presentation we blog writers can sometimes fail to do.  I do try my best with words and still pictures to get you the most information about a product. But seeing a video of an item adds in another dimension of a products information we can't. 

I know I truly appreciate the time and effort these v-bloggers make to share their secrets from their corners of the world. Keep up the great work!
